Writing ‘REPOSSESSION‘ has certainly has been a rewarding experience and I now find myself working on a sequel called Deja Vous. I am hoping to have it finished by Summer 2014!!

I hope you will be able to download it and read it and possibly give me a ‘positive’ review. Please do email me back and let me know what you think of it. (See below for a little intro. )My husband Robert and I were chatting, back in December 2011, about a particular situation that we were aware of, and said ‘Wouldn’t that make a good story for a Movie or a Book!’  It evolved from there and I got typing.  First of all the idea was to write an outline and see if anyone was interested in it for a Movie. Then I discovered that I would have to present it in ‘script’ format! Hmmmmm!   So here I was with about 45 pages of an outline story that I now decided to turn into a Book!  This meant adding ‘dialogue’ –  I thoroughly enjoyed putting words in the mouths of the characters and making them come alive, especially Brigid and Mary what a pair they are!  Then there is ‘Brock’ – the other man who was Stephanie’s ‘Love of her Life’  Luigi – from Italy and mixed up with the Mafia, with a contract on his head!

OOOH My!!! What a to do!

You’ve gotto go download it at: –  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0095M3WJU   …….     And see what happens to them all.

Anyway……………… book was nearly finished and I asked Robert to think of some ideas for the all-important cover.

Thirty seconds later he says,

‘Do you know what came in to my head when you asked about the cover?’

‘No’ I replied (wondering what’s coming next).

‘I saw an open toilet, with a house, a car, money, everything, swirling down in to it, just like in the book!

So I set about putting that picture together – it was not as ‘slick’ as I would like, and in my effort to improve it I met up with Celeste Hall.

Celeste is a wonderful author with a whole crowd of books to her name. She so very kindly re did my cover to what you see today and didn’t want a thing in return.

What a rare jewel!!

You can see her work at http://www.celestehall.com/

Look forward to hearing from you……………………. Pamela ‘Cheekiweeki’ Cherry

Julia Hogsworth Myles interviews Pamela Cherry

REPOSSESSION is something that has affected thousands of people, worldwide, especially over the past decade. This is the story of greed, loss, love, vanity, scary and happy moments. REPOSSESSION features a man and his wife who were riding on the back of the well-known ‘Tiger’ when it was in Ireland, enjoying life to the full. Every day was like a holiday to Stephanie Donnelly, lunches, golf, trips, shopping, all without a worry in the world. She didn’t pay attention to the economic Global crisis that was creeping up on Ireland. Financial collapse sweeping across the country like a swarm of Locusts, threatening to wipe out companies and people more secure and sound than herself and her husband Mervyn, leaving nothing but destruction and hopelessness in its wake. When it arrived she was in for a rude awakening. Stephanie and Mervyn’s lives changed overnight and they embarked on a journey that they wouldn’t have believed, had anyone told them what was about to happen to them. I cannot reveal too much about the story or it will spoil the surprise. I hope you will travel thru the pages and enjoy the journey.

I have woven in to this story several experiences that happened to me personally and I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

SOME  REVIEWS

REPOSSESSION,  By Denverenda This review is from: REPOSSESSION (Kindle Edition) September 27, 2012

This book is such an entertaining read, hilarious or scary, the writer paints a picture of every day events that could happen to anyone, some of which evidently did happened to the Author. The cover reflects the theme perfectly. So many people who have worked hard all of their lives, are hit by economic disaster and all they can do is watch everything go down the proverbial ‘Toilet’! Mervyn and Stephanie are a good example but read how they deal with their disaster. This book is great value for $2.99 – less than the cost of a cup of coffee in some joints, it will last longer and give you much more satisfaction! I enjoyed it so much I read it twice, some of the colloquialisms with Mary and Brigid are so funny I was tearing up with laughing! What a great little gift to send to my friends. Thank you Pamela Cherry! I look forward to your next book.

Not being a habitual reader of fiction, it was the one word title together with the eye catching cover design, which caught my attention. I ended up reading it well into the late hours. I really loved this book because while you knew something was up, it kept me guessing all the way through as to what would happen next. It was most refreshing to find it so bereft of foul language or crude scenes of any kind; sadly, so often a feature of modern novels. Make sure you have plenty of time to take in this entertaining read, for once you pick it up, you won’t want to put it back down.I highly recommend this book and will definitely look out for more from this author.

What a great read, with so many twists and turns the reader is never sure what is going to happen next. This story is about relationships and cherishing what you have, something we can all relate to. If you want to be entertained then this book is a must read!

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified PurchaseThank God Reinold -my younger son- doesn’t mind driving and … thanks to the android’s option for kindle I read Repossession non-stop yesterday. The restaurant tipping situation was really funny and to the point. I can so relate to that. I recall a story about a very rude waittress at a well known chain of restaurants, that when faced with a fat $0 tip for bad service, took the liberty to tip herself from the card. I called her manager. Oh, the bus and the rain scene after the car repo and the Mac-apple job interview were hilarious. The sense of humor and the sharp pen made it so very easy to read and enjoy this book! Familiar characters, happenings, places and situations (or at least part of them) made it even more enjoyable and funny.Wow, one more reason to like you Ideas for a sequel ……… If they were to win the lottery in US I could picture the sequel with troubles with IRS, but in UK and Ireland the lottery winning are not taxed-right? Oh and it will be funny to come up with scenes with golf “friends” and the non-shaking hand “fella” after they see the Donnelly’s new fortune. Brittany might set up a ‘bullied but beautiful’ fund for phsycological help for the bullied kids and bullies (that she knows well because was one once and boy, it took a literally shocking experience to change that), and kids that are both. Another thing that comes in mind is some kind of ‘sweet-revenge’ from Doris.

Keep up the great work. Can’t wait for the sequel.

A terrific second novel, suspenseful, kidnaps, nerve jangling in parts, and very funny.
The characters are so real that they become our friends.
I read Repossessions first with the characters carried on into the second novel. I couldn’t leave either down.
The author certainly shows her expertise of life & understanding people.

This review is from: Deja Vu (Kindle Edition)

A really enthralling and entertaining read from start to finish. Great characters, sub-plots, and lots of twists and turns to keep you reading on.
Reading ‘Repossession’ first a good idea, but if you don’t you’ll soon catch up with the lives of Stephanie, Mervyn, Brock and the rest of the characters.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked Pamela’s first book, but this one is even better. After reading about a third of the story, I stopped and told my wife how much I was enjoying reading Deja Vu.

Pamela is a great story teller, she even had me rooting for the bad guys. Because I’m an American, I even learned some new Irish vocabulary. I had to look up a few words on the internet. Being a Mark Twain fan, I also enjoy a sense of humor. When I read, I usually laugh inside, but this book made me laugh out loud several times. For an entertaining read, I would highly recommend this book. (PS I would recommend reading ,”Repossession”, first.

4.0 out of 5 stars     A lovely read

Repossession is a book which once started is difficult to put down, the next page is always so enticing. My congratulations to the author. The book is a lovely read, the story moves briskly along, always interesting and never too complicated. Written in a delightfully witty style, the narrative flows elegantly with a gentle undercurrent of wry humour. Most enjoyable and here’s to more from the same talented pen.

I was recommended this book by a friend. It’s a great story, a must read. Gripping from start to finish.
It would normally take me weeks to read a book but this I wanted to keep turning the pages to see what Mervyn and Stephanie were up to.
Can’t wait for the sequel coming out later this year.
